One of our local shows with Mr Peter Frost (Vic) judging the Hound Group. Today I only showed Tambuzi The Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) today. Willow showed very well and gaited beautifully. She was awarded Best Baby Puppy in Group.
Today Mr G Markotany (Hound Specialist) officiated at the Alexandra P&A Association show. Both baby puppies; Tambuzi The Isle of Avalon (Arthur) and Tambuzi Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) both one their classes with Willow awarded baby puppy of breed. Their dad Ch Debrak On The Road Again (AI) (Ringo) was awarded Best of Breed and the took Runner UP to the Best Exhibit in Group (BIG2). Well done Team!
The Sunbury Canine Club Show is the largest one day show in the Southern Hemisphere. 2013 attracted in excess of 2100 entries. The breed was judged by Mr A Czegledi (Hungary) he placed Ch Debrak On The Road Again (AI) (Ringo) reserve dog and Runner Up Best of Breed. Ringo has taken Best of Breed at this show for the previous 3 consecutive years so adding a runner up best of breed was a great achievement considering he is really badly out of coat. Tambuzi The Isle of Avalon (Arthur) was placed first in the baby dog class (3 entries) and Tambuzi Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) was placed first in the baby bitch class (4 entries). Willow took baby puppy of breed.
Thankfully the weather was on the improve as this show was held outdoors. The show is the precursor to the Sunbury Show and always attracts a good entry. The numbers this year 1601 dogs. The judge Dr D Dowling (USA) awarded Ch Debrak On The Road Again (AI) (Ringo) the dog challenge. Ringo then went on to win Best of Breed. Tambuzi The Isle of Avalon (Authur) took 2nd place in the baby dog class. His sister Tambuzi Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) went one better and won her class. She then went on to win baby puppy of breed. And followed this up with Best Baby Puppy in Group. A wonderful win with the numbers and quality of dogs presented at the show.
Today the Hound Club of Victoria's Championship Show attracted 290 entries. Basenjis were in group 4C which was judged by Ms D Malenfant (USA). Ch Debrak On The Road Again (AI) (Ringo) won reserve dog. Ringo was Best of Breed winner at the Hound Club of Victoria in 2010 and 2011. Ch Tambuzi The Rinpocheof Qinghai (Ruby) took out the bitch challenge. She followed this up by winning Best of Breed. Ruby had won best baby puppy in show at the 2012 show. Tambuzi The Isle of Avalon (Arthur) won the baby puppy dog class. Arthur's litter sister Tambuzi Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) won the baby bitch class. Both wins against competition. Willow took out best baby of breed and was pulled out with the Basset Hound for best baby puppy in show - she was pipped to the post by the baby Basset. Ruby was also pulled out for best junior in show so all in all it was another day for the team!
