Australia Day International – 27 Jan 2014

The second of two shows commemorating Australia Day. Today the judge Mr N Erodotos (Cyprus)) had a dog challenge line up of sire Ch Debrak On The Road Again (Ringo) and two of his sons; Tambuzi the Sherpaof Annapurna (Tobi) and Tambuzi The Isle of Avalon (Arthur). Today Arthur beat dad (Ringo) for Dog challenge and he was later awarded Best of Breed. with a good entry of 10 Basenjis. Tambuzi Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) was awarded reserve bitch challenge and went on to be awarded Best Minor Puppy in Group. A great day for the kids!

South Eastern Kennel Club Show – 9 Jan 2014

A beautiful warm evening with no wind; it could not have been any more perfect for showing. Mr B Harris (New Zealand) officiating in the Group 4 (Hound) ring. Tambuzi The Isle of Avalon (Arthur) was awarded the dog challenge. Tambuzi Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) won her class. She went on to be awarded the bitch challenge and Best of Breed. Mr Harris also awarded Willow Best Minor Puppy In Group as with the night prior it was fantastic to take this award considering the quality in the line-up. Arthur was awarded Runner Up Best of Breed. Again the two top breed awards for the team - Well done kids!

South Eastern Kennel Club Show – 8 Jan 2014

The first of two night shows both with full international panels of judges. This show had Mr S Bessho (Japan) officiating in the Group 4 (Hound) ring. Tambuzi The Isle of Avalon (Arthur) was awarded the dog challenge. Tambuzi Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) won her class and then went on to be awarded the bitch challenge. Willow was awarded Best of Breed.  and was really happy with that result, but she followed it up with Best Minor Puppy in Group and against a quality line up of minor puppies. Arthur was awarded Runner Up Best of Breed.  The two top breed awards, a nice result for the two siblings.

Historic Maldon Kennel Club Show – 5 Jan 2014

Historic Maldon was our first show for 2014 due to car issues preventing attendance at other shows. Hound specialist Mrs Jane Millar (Vic) was the judge today. Tambuzi The Isle of Avalon (Arthur) took top breed honours with Best of Breed  at just over 6 months old. He followed that up with Best Puppy in Group. Sister Tambuzi Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) took reserve bitch challenge; her third consecutive reserve bitch challenge award, she was also keenly looked at and 'run' for best minor in group, but missed out to a very smart mini-wire. Well done Arthur!

Central Highlands Show – 28 Dec 2013

Mrs Lynette Brown (NSW) was the Hound Group judge today. Very pleased with how the 'kids' went with Tambuzi The Isle of Avalon (Arthur) winning the Puppy Class and being looked at for reserve dog challenge. Tambuzi Secret of Road Inish (Willow) was a little naughty gaiting but was awarded first in the minor puppy class. She went on to take her second reserve bitch challenge (BB2) again beating a Grand Champion along the way. I was even more thrilled for her to be awarded Best Minor Puppy in Group.

Kilmore Kennel Club Show – 22 Dec 2013

Hound specialist Ms S Cameron-Codognotto officiated today. Best of Breed went to Ch Tambuzi The Rinpocheof Qinghai (Ruby) and Runner Up Best of Breed to her sire Ch Debrak On The Road Again (AI) (Ringo). Tambuzi The Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) was awarded her 7th Best Baby Puppy In Group, it will be her last in the class as Willow will go up into the Minor Puppy class at the next show.

Kyneton P&A Association Show – 16 Nov 2013

One of our local shows with Mr Peter Frost (Vic) judging the Hound Group. Today I only showed Tambuzi The Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) today. Willow showed very well and gaited beautifully. She was awarded Best Baby Puppy in Group.

Vic Womens Dog Club Show – 4 Nov 2013

Thankfully the weather was on the improve as this show was held outdoors. The show is the precursor to the Sunbury Show and always attracts a good entry. The numbers this year 1601 dogs. The judge Dr D Dowling (USA) awarded Ch Debrak On The Road Again (AI) (Ringo) the dog challenge. Ringo then went on to win Best of Breed. Tambuzi The Isle of Avalon (Authur) took 2nd place in the baby dog class. His sister Tambuzi Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) went one better and won her class. She then went on to win baby puppy of breed. And followed this up with Best Baby Puppy in Group. A wonderful win with the numbers and quality of dogs presented at the show.

Bendigo Agricultural Show Society – 26 Oct 2013

Mrs Elizabeth Smith (Victoria) officiated judging the Hound Group at this show. The show was held indoors and the babies fared well with the noise of the wood chopping competition at the other end of the pavilion. Tambuzi Tutanekai (Raven) was first in the baby dog class and his sister Tambuzi Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) first in the baby bitch class. Tambuzi The Sherpaof Annapurna (Tobi) took Best of Breed. Willow followed up her previous class in group wins with another Best Baby Puppy in Group. This time she went one better and under respected all breeds judge Mrs Sandra Mashford Willow won Best Baby Puppy in Show. This was Willows 4th best class in group win and 1st best class in show win. 

Bacchus Marsh & District Club – 13 Oct 2013

The Hound Group was judged by Mr Keith Prior (Victoria). Baby puppies Tambuzi Tutanekai (Raven) and Tambuzi Secret of Roan Inish (Willow) were shown.  Willow took baby of breed and later won Best Baby Puppy in Group against a good number of quality babies. Well done kids!

Shepparton Agricultural Society Show – 12 Oct 2013

Today the Hound Group was judged by Mr Richard Stoate (Victoria). The puppies had not been on a lead since the shows last weekend and it showed. The fact that the grounds had been used by horse exhibitors the previous day meant the smells were Basenji heaven and suddenly the puppies became vacuum cleaners. This time Tambuzi The Isle of Avalon (Arthur) won baby puppy of breed and went on to win Best Baby Puppy in Group. Dad Ch Debrak On the Road Again (AI) (Ringo)  took Best of Breed and his daughter Ch Tambuzi The Rinpoche of Qinghai (Ruby) was Runner Up Best of Breed.

Seymour A&P Society Show – 5 Oct 2013

A beautiful sunny day and such a contrast to the Horsham shows. The hound group was judged by Mrs A M Hearn. The babies were not gaiting as well as they can - but when do babies ever gait nicely at the right time! Even so Tambuzi The Isle Of Avalon (Arthur) won first place out of 4 baby puppy dogs. Tambuzi Secret Of Roan Inish (Willow) won first place out of 3 baby puppy bitches and then went on to Best Baby Puppy in Group. Not to be out done the adults Tambuzi The Sherpaof Annapurna (Tobi), owned by Colleen, took out the dog challenge and Ch Tambuzi The Rinpocheof Qinghai (Ruby), owned by Lisa-Jane,  took out the bitch challenge and went on to Best of Breed. Congratulations to all!
